What this course provides:
This course offers a great introduction to understanding what cognitive impairment is and explains the different types of dementias. You will learn about risk factors and ways to reduce the risk of developing dementia, and when to seek help. The course goes on to explain how a diagnosis of dementia is made and what to do if you have received a diagnosis. Signs and symptoms and the stages of dementia are explored, with practical ways of modifying a person’s home and surroundings and learning how to care and communicate.
